NEWS FROM NASFAA

This week on "Off The Cuff," Justin and Karen are joined by NASFAA Executive Vice President Beth Maglione and Director of Research Charlotte Etier to discuss Justin's announcement this week that he plans to step down from his role as NASFAA's president and CEO in June. From there, Karen debriefs listeners on more FAFSA updates, including where we stand with institutional corrections.

On Tuesday, NASFAA posted an anonymous Quick Scan Survey asking members when your institution plans to send financial aid offers to students. Out of the 671 responses to the second installment of the poll, 46% of members indicated that their institutions have sent out aid offers for some or all of their students, while 44% have not begun to package aid. Respondents indicated that the majority of institutions have been flexible in their enrollment deadlines with 43% reporting that they do not have a set date and 38% saying they moved their deadlines, while 7% are considering making adjustments to their usual timelines. There were 12% of respondents who indicated that their institution will not move their enrollment deadline. Read the full poll results, broken out by institutional sector, for additional insights. The first iteration of this poll was conducted during the week of April 15. Check out the FAFSA Simplification web center for more details.
