Starts: July 5, 2022

This four-week interactive online course will focus on the fundamentals of financial aid including applying, financial aid concepts, categories and types of financial aid, the Title IV aid programs, other federal sources of student assistance, and comparing financial aid offers.

Return of Title IV Funds - September 2022
Starts: September 6, 2022

This five-week interactive online course provides an overview of the return of Title IV funds (R2T4) regulations, including the regulations that went into effect on July 1, 2021. Course participants will learn what happens to Title IV funds when a student withdraws before completing the period of enrollment, withdrawal from programs offered in modules, and how to apply the R2T4 formula in order to calculate the amount the school must return to the Title IV programs, or the amounts the student could receive as post-withdrawal disbursement. This course is the perfect learning tool for intermediate and advanced level financial aid professionals designed to provide the necessary tools and subject matter expertise to guide you through the R2T4 process. Live instruction, discussion topic collaboration, and assessments throughout the course will reinforce key concepts. Upon passing the course, you will receive complimentary access to the credential test. If you meet the qualification requirements, you may also qualify for the Return of Title IV Funds Specialist designation

It will cover the Direct Loan application and origination process, eligibility criteria, annual and aggregate limits, loan periods, loan repayment plans, deferments, forbearance, discharges and counseling requirements. Starts: October 18, 2022

This four-week interactive course is designed for the financial aid professional who seeks to better understand the fundamental concepts pertaining to strategic enrollment management. Financial aid administrators who are exposed to enrollment management concepts are better able to operate within an enrollment management framework, support institutional goals and objectives, and advance into enrollment management positions. This course is facilitated by NASFAA U instructors and will feature enrollment management and financial aid professionals as guests. This four-week interactive online course will focus on an overview of the required and optional elements of an institutional satisfactory academic progress policy. Course topics include calculating pace, student appeals, the impact of transfer credits, and the use of academic plans. This four-week interactive online course will focus on the 2023-2024 processing year, and concentrates on the principles of verification, information subject to verification, acceptable documentation, processing data corrections, how to verify applicant files in accordance with Title IV verification requirements, and options for institutional verification. This course is the perfect learning tool for financial aid professionals designed to provide the necessary tools and subject matter expertise to guide you through the verification process. Upon passing the course, you will receive complimentary access to the credential test.

Starts: April 17, 2023

This four-week interactive online course will focus on an overview of the administrative capability requirements. The compliance of these requirements are a cornerstone of the participation in the Title programs. The administrative capability requirements are not just the responsibility of the financial aid office, but a campus-wide commitment and responsibility. Participants will receive the tools, subject matter expertise, and connections with other colleagues across the country to assist in maintaining an administratively capable campus. Cost of Attendance
Starts: May 16, 2023

This four-week interactive online course will focus on cost of attendance (COA) components and calculations, including the items that must be included in a student's COA and those which can be applied through the use of Professional Judgment (PJ). They’ll also cover COA construction and elements of a school's COA policies and procedures, including policies on required and optional COA recalculations. This training opportunity is suited for a range of financial aid professionals, from those new to the field to those with more experience who want to review their school's COA methods and policies.  Upon passing the course, you will receive complimentary access to the credential test.
