February State & Regional Association Updates

By Maria Carrasco, NASFAA Staff Reporter

In this monthly round-up in Today's News, we would like to highlight what’s going on in your state and regional associations.

This month, we have the opportunity to hear from our colleagues from Illinois and the Southwest Association of Student Financial Aid Administrators (SWASFAA).

Elyse Weller, president of ILASFAA (Illinois), shares that registration is now open for the  ILASFAA Conference on March 4-6 in Bloomington, Illinois. Some highlights for this year's conference include pre-conference NASFAA credential sessions on professional judgement and cost of attendance, an informational session from the Illinois Student Assistance Commission, and a virtual presentation from NASFAA President and CEO Justin Draeger.

Audra Main, president of SWASFAA, shares that the association will hold a FAAC® exam prep workshop at Great Wolf Lodge in Grapevine, Texas, on February 26. The association is also hosting its Leadership and Management Institute at the same location on February 27-28.

Check back next month to see what your colleagues are doing across the country, and check out your colleagues’ updates from previous months!
