Debra La Grone
Online Compliance and Credential Analyst, NASFAA
Debra joined the NASFAA Training and Regulatory Assistance team in 2011 and serves as the online compliance and credential analyst. She began her higher education career in 1990. Prior to joining NASFAA, Debra served in various roles, including director, at several 4-year public universities in Utah and Texas. She was also an active participant in state, regional, and national financial aid associations, served on the TASFAA (Texas) Board, co-chaired a U.S. Department of Education’s Quality Assurance Conference, and co-presented with the Department of Education. Debra earned her bachelor of science degrees from the University of Utah. Since her arrival at NASFAA, she has participated in numerous NASFAA webinars; presented at state, regional and national conferences; provided regulatory assistance to the NASFAA membership; taught NASFAA U online courses, maintained NASFAA’s compliance products, and administers the testing center for the NASFAA’s Certified Financial Aid Administrator® Program and NASFAA credentials. In her spare time, she enjoys traveling with her family, spending time with her dogs and horses, and making gifts for family and friends. Debra lives in Carthage,Texas.
