Elizabeth (Liz) Amador, FAAC®

Elizabeth Jacquez-Amador, FAAC®, is the director of student financial aid at the University of New Mexico. With nearly two decades of experience in financial aid administration and being a first-generation student herself, Elizabeth brings a deep commitment to student access, success, and equity. She began her career in 2007 as a work-study in the financial aid office, and has since held progressive roles overseeing key areas such as scholarships, funds management, and student employment programs. A dedicated advocate for professional development and inclusive leadership, Elizabeth is actively involved in the financial aid community, having served in various capacities with NASFAA and regional and state associations. She participated in NASFAA's Diversity Leadership Program, currently serves as SWASFAA President and recently elected as the CFAA® Commission Chair-elect. Elizabeth holds a bachelor's and master's degree in business administration with a focus in organizational leadership from the University of New Mexico.
