Dear NASFAA Members,
Since our last update to the NASFAA membership, the Board of Directors and NASFAA team have made significant progress in the search for the association’s next President & CEO. As a reminder, the Presidential Search Committee, to be appointed by the Board, will work with a professional search firm to locate and evaluate candidates for the position. NASFAA's Board of Directors is responsible for making the ultimate decision as to who will be the next President & CEO of NASFAA.
This is the second in a regular series of transparent updates to NASFAA members on the transition and search process. We last updated you on anticipated next steps, including plans to form a Presidential Search Committee and issue a Request for Proposal (RFP) for a search firm.
Since our last update, the Board of Directors has:
Issued a Request for Proposal (RFP) to select a search firm to support our national search process, with a response date of May 31
Approved an allocation of board-designated funds to cover expenses related to the search
Appointed the Presidential Search Committee Chair, Dr. Sharon Oliver, Interim Enrollment Manager and Assistant Vice Chancellor for Scholarships and Student Aid at North Carolina Central University
In the coming months, the Board and the Presidential Search Committee will solicit feedback from various stakeholders on the experience, characteristics, and vision they want to see in the next President & CEO, including during a breakout session at the 2024 National Conference later this month. If you’ll be in Milwaukee, we hope you will join us for that session and a farewell “Transitions & Toasts” evening event for all attendees.
In addition, we welcome you to share your comments and thoughts about the search process and NASFAA's next leader.
Stay tuned for further updates as we continue this search, and thank you for your dedication to NASFAA’s vision and mission.
Warm regards,
Helen Faith, National Chair, NASFAA
Kristi Jovell, National Chair-Elect, NASFAA
