FAFSA Deadline Pushed to Feb. 28, Student Aid Application Sees Changes on Federal Level

"UW’s Office of Student Financial Aid extended the priority deadline for the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) from Jan. 15 to Feb. 28. The priority filing date for the Washington Application for State Financial Aid (WASFA) is also Feb. 28," The Daily reports.

... "Some new challenges arise as a result of the OBBBA changes. Private loan options typically have stricter credit requirements and fewer borrower protections, and students and parents can no longer rely on federal funding to cover the full cost of university attendance, according to the National Association of Student Financial Aid Administrators."
