Lancaster Lawmakers Raise Concerns with New Federal Student Loan Law to US Education Secretary

"Lancaster County lawmakers are urging U.S. Department of Education Secretary Linda McMahon to consider the impact that new federal student loan regulations would have on local educational institutions and the community," Lancaster Online reports.

..."Jill Desjean, the director of policy analysis at the National Association of Student Financial Aid Administrators told LNP | LancasterOnline last month that the new law is intended to hold educational institutions accountable for the federal taxpayer dollars they receive by making sure they deliver a robust, profitable education. A student should not come out of a school worse off than when they began their education, Desjean said."
