NEWS FROM NASFAA

As students and families across the country begin to fill out their 2024-25 FAFSA, the Missouri Association of Student Financial Aid Personnel (MASFAP) is hosting a state-wide week of action to answer questions they may have about the new application.

NASFAA Board Approves Membership Dues for 2024-25

For the past several years NASFAA has enacted zero dues increases, thanks in part to significant investment of reserve funds by the Board of Directors, via the NASFAA Gives Back initiative. Last week, the board approved a modest dues increase which still falls well below multiple years of inflationary increases that impact NASFAA's overall expenses. The base amount for institutional membership in 2024-25 will increase by $10, from $840 to $850, and the FTE multiplier will increase by 0.6%, from 9.5% to 10.1%. The price of the Value and Value Plus dues packages will remain the same. The price of the Policies & Procedures (P&P) Builder package will increase from $99 to $119, and the price of the Webinar Package will increase from $499 to $549. As we embark on another challenging year for the profession, NASFAA remains committed to providing members with the resources, training, and information they need to serve their institutions and their students.

A pair of announcements from federal agencies overseeing the transition of student loan borrowers returning to repayment indicate that during the transition period a number of servicers have contributed to a challenging landscape for borrowers attempting to meet their payment obligations.
