NASFAA UPDATES AND ANNOUNCEMENTS

NASFAA’s AskRegs service fields thousands of questions from aid administrators each year, and with the One Big Beautiful Bill Act (OBBBA), those questions are evolving quickly. In this webinar, today at 2 p.m. ET, we’ll walk through the top OBBBA-related questions submitted by your peers, highlighting key themes, common areas of confusion, and practical takeaways. Due to the volume and complexity of questions related to OBBBA this webinar has been expanded from 90 minutes to a 120-minute extended edition.

Confusion about college pricing is eroding student and family trust in higher education. New research documents how cost confusion directly impacts whether students believe they are being charged fairly and the alignment of an institution’s objectives with their own. In response, a national advisory group of enrollment management leaders has developed five Student-Centered Enrollment Management Principles, now endorsed by more than 20 major higher education associations, student groups, and research organizations. Join leaders from NASFAA, ACE, AACRAO, and Strada Education Foundation on Thursday, May 28, at 3:00 p.m. ET for a conversation about what the research shows, what the principles ask of institutions, and what’s coming next.

NASFAA's Legislative Tracker provides student financial aid administrators with a comprehensive look at legislation introduced in the U.S. House of Representatives and in the U.S. Senate during this session of Congress. The tracker breaks down legislation by issue area to allow members the ability to find the legislation on topics or federal programs most important to them and their institution. Last month, Today’s News provided updates to the following topics: Quality & Accountability; Pell Grants; Loan Repayment; Improving Affordability; Immigration; FAFSA Simplification; and Consumer Information & Transparency. Stay tuned for further updates throughout the 119th Congress.
