Designed for the self-paced learner, NASFAA Self-Study Guides enable independent study and include quizzes, learning activities, and self-evaluation, delivered in PDF or e-Reader format. Self-Study Guides are updated annually.
How much do the Self-Study Guides cost?
NASFAA U Self-Study Guides start at $119 for members. See the individual topics for member and non-member pricing.
How often are Self-Study Guides updated?
NASFAA’s Self-Study Guides and supporting materials are released each spring and reflect guidance for the award year included in its title (for example, 2024-25 Application Process Self-Study Guide). A new purchase is required for each award year, regardless of when the guide is purchased.
Published materials may not immediately reflect changes made as a result of updated guidance from the U.S. Department of Education (ED), but will be updated as needed. The most up-to-date version of the Self-Study Guide will always be available in the File Access Center .
As always, financial aid administrators should monitor guidance published by ED throughout the year to be aware of any and all changes.
