Megan Bahlke

With 11 years in financial aid under her belt, Meg has truly seen it all—public, private, and community college life. If there's a version of financial aid out there, she's probably lived it. Currently, Meg is an analyst at Mid Michigan College, where she spends her days tackling verification, SAP, loans, unusual circumstances, and supporting homeless youth—because why specialize in just one thing when you can do all the things? She is actively involved at the regional, state, and national levels, contributing to social media, newsletters, and trainings. If there's an opportunity to teach or connect with fellow financial aid professionals, she is all in—she genuinely loves helping others navigate this ever-changing world (and maybe laughing about it along the way). Outside of work, you can usually find her outdoors with her husband, hiking with their three dogs (who think they're in charge) and two cats (who definitely know they are).

Gena Boling, FAAC®

Gena Boling, FAAC®, is the associate vice provost for enrollment at Cornell University and serves as the university's chief enrollment compliance officer. With more than 20 years of experience in higher education, Gena leads a team focused on compliance program management, which serves as a partner to multiple institutional offices with assigned compliance responsibilities for Title IV of the HEA and GLBA. Before stepping into her current role, Gena served as a financial aid administrator in the Midwest, focusing on Title IV compliance and technology solutions. She regularly draws on her past life in student affairs to force everyone to do icebreakers and ensure student-friendly compliance initiatives. Gena holds 17 NASFAA Credentials and enjoys brainstorming innovative ideas for navigating the compliance landscape in higher education.

Lee Bray, FAAC®

Lee Bray currently serves as the senior director of financial aid, veterans affairs, and student resource centers at Pitt Community College. She has since worked in the capacity of financial aid counselor, assistant director, and director for the past 19 years. Lee has been a member of NCASFAA for nine years and currently serves on the executive board as a past-president. She has also been an active member of NASFAA and SASFAA, a certified FAAC®, NASFAA adjunct instructor, and serves on various NASFAA committees. Originally from Pennsylvania, Lee enjoys the warm weather down south, kayaking, camping, golfing, and going to the beach.

He has served on NASFAA's R2T4 Task Force, NASFAA's Reclassification Working Group, MASFAA's Advocacy and Legislative Issues Committee, and has been an Instructor at MASFAA's Summer Institute and Leadership Symposium. Matt earned the FAAC® designation in 2021. In his free time, he works as a freelance children's theatre director.

Her career in financial aid began in 2019 as a Federal Work-Study student in the same office. Over the years, she has held several leadership roles within the association, including secretary, awards committee chair, and vice president.

She first became involved with MASFAA through the Pathways Committee (formerly the IDEA Committee), where she later led the Equality Talk Book Club, and has served as faculty for the Summer Institute and Leadership Symposium.
