Anne McDermott, FAAC®

Anne McDermott serves as the assistant vice president for enrollment and chief financial aid officer at Salve Regina University in Newport, Rhode Island. She has more than 15 years of experience in financial aid and enrollment management. Her portfolio includes oversight of financial aid administration, student employment, endowed scholarships, compliance, budgeting, and strategic enrollment planning. She is known for her collaborative leadership style and her expertise in financial aid operations, regulatory compliance, and institutional strategy. She has served in several elected and volunteer positions at the state, regional, and national levels, including past president of EASFAA and RIASFAA. She is also a NASFAA credentialed administrator and trainer and holds the FAAC® designation. Throughout her career, McDermott has focused on strategic planning, operational effectiveness, and helping institutions navigate complex federal policy and regulatory change. She is particularly passionate about leadership development, professional mentorship, and strengthening collaboration across the higher education community.
