Emily Haynam, FAAC®

Emily Haynam (pronounced "Hey-numb") is the executive director of student financial aid at the University of Missouri. She has 21 years of experience in higher education leadership across financial aid, enrollment management, and athletics compliance. Prior to Mizzou, Emily worked for The Ohio State University, Purdue Fort Wayne, Youngstown State University, Saint Peter’s University, and the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference. She earned her bachelor’s degree in journalism from The Ohio State University and her MBA from Saint Peter’s University. Haynam intended to go back to athletics, but truly fell in love with the people who work in financial aid after attending the MASFAA Summer Institute 13 years ago. Ever since, she has been dedicated to serving in various leadership positions for three state organizations and at the regional level, currently serving as the MASFAA President. Haynam is deeply rooted in her values of teamwork, family, and joy — and making the juice worth the squeeze no matter the circumstances.
