Joan Bailey
SASFAA Representative, University of South Florida
Joan Bailey is the director of financial aid at the University of South Florida Health, where she primarily supports access and success for graduate and professional students. With almost 30 years of experience, Bailey has served in multiple elected and appointed roles at the state, regional, and national levels. She has also contributed to numerous committees and task forces within FASFAA, SASFAA, and NASFAA, and served as NASFAA’s Graduate & Professional Caucus Chair from 2021-23. She has been recognized for her service with the Florida Association of Student Financial Aid Administrators (FASFAA), where she was awarded their highest honor, the Distinguished Service Award. As a frequent presenter at professional association conferences, Bailey is deeply committed to mentoring and supporting the professional growth of financial aid administrators. She holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of Technology, Jamaica, and a master’s degree in counselor education from the University of South Florida, Tampa.
