What's New in Federal Tax Information (FTI)

This session will review the expanded definition of FTI, including intermediate and derived value data elements. Learn about these newly defined FTI elements, compliance with Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI) labeling, and strict data use and disclosure limitations under the Internal Revenue Code (IRC) and the Higher Education Act (HEA). This session will be helpful for financial aid professionals to navigate compliance and ensure proper handling of sensitive tax data.
