Charlotte Etier
Director of Research and Development, NASFAA
Charlotte Etier is the director of research & development at NASFAA, where she oversees the association's research needs, encompassing practitioner, policy, and operational research. She also oversees the association’s development work, securing funding for multiple projects to further NASFAA’s efforts on behalf of its membership. Before joining NASFAA full-time in the summer of 2013, she worked as the Dallas Martin Endowment policy intern at NASFAA. Charlotte began her career in higher education as a graduate assistant in the financial aid office at Central Connecticut State University and later served as a financial aid officer at the University of Connecticut (UConn).
She holds a master's degree in student development in higher education from Central Connecticut State University and a bachelor’s degree in political science and women's studies from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte. She also holds a Graduate Certificate in Managerial Analytics from the University of Louisville's College of Business, where she focused in data management, business analytics, artificial intelligence, and storytelling through data, all with a business management focus. Originally from Charlotte, NC, she currently lives in Louisville, KY with her family.
