What does this mean for a school and its borrowers?
Schools using the electronic version of the forms on the StudentLoans.gov website are not impacted by this change.
In most cases, there should be minimal impact on schools and borrowers using paper forms. However, a school using the paper forms should adjust its processes and documentation accordingly. In addition, while packages will be forwarded to the new location for a limited time, a school should begin to use the new addresses as soon as possible after March 24, 2017.
We are in the process of updating the address in posted documents, such as the Common Origination and Disbursement (COD) Technical Reference, and on any applicable Federal Student Aid websites. All correspondence will be updated with the address information as well.
