NASFAA UPDATES AND ANNOUNCEMENTS

FAFSA simplification is something that impacts all corners of the institution. We’ve heard and listened that it would be useful to compile communication resources that institutions have built to educate institutional partners, students, and families about FAFSA simplification. If you have email templates, presentation slides, or other materials you have used to inform your colleagues and the public about the changes that come with FAFSA simplification, please submit them to us by August 25, 2023. We will share the submissions a few weeks afterwards. For more knowledge sharing, join our FAFSA Simplification Community to connect more with aid professionals across the country.

Register now for NASFAA’s four-week interactive online course focusing on cost of attendance (COA). Starting September 5, this course will cover COA components and calculations, including the items that must be included in a student's COA and those which can be applied through the use of professional judgment. This training opportunity is suited for a range of financial aid professionals, from those new to the field to those with more experience who want to review their school's COA methods and policies.
