This week on "Off the Cuff," David and Maria are joined by Kochie for a special episode to test your financial aid knowledge. First, David and Kochie explain the origin of the NASFAA Quiz Show – which just concluded its sixth season – and detail how the quiz show works. From there, the team reviews some of the game show questions related to the One Big Beautiful Bill Act (OBBBA), as well as answer other AskRegs questions that didn’t make this year’s show.

The Department of Education (ED) on Thursday unveiled a new initiative to help student loan borrowers return to repayment, announcing that borrowers enrolled in auto pay will be eligible for a 1% interest rate reduction on their federal loans beginning July 1.

The U.S. Department of Education's (ED's) Frequently Asked Questions – Loan Limits says this: "ETC-Q7: How do you determine expected time to credential if a student transferred into a program with transfer credits or attended an optional summer quarter? First, establish whether this student qualifies for the interim exception based on whether they were enrolled in a program of study at an institution and have received a Direct Loan for that program."
