This month, we have the opportunity to hear from our colleagues about the recent conferences held by TASFAA (Tennessee) and WASFAA (the Western Association of Student Financial Aid Administrators), along with upcoming conferences in PASFAA (Pennsylvania), AASFAA (Arkansas), and NAFAA (Nevada).
NASFAA submitted comments to the Department of Education (ED) on Monday in response to its proposed changes to the Income-Driven Repayment (IDR) Plan Request form. The department proposed revisions to the IDR request form to reflect the repayment plan changes enacted under the One Big Beautiful Bill Act (OBBBA). NASFAA’s comments expressed support for many of the proposed updates, while also offering suggestions to improve the form's clarity and requesting additional guidance on how family size and the number of dependents are determined for calculating monthly payment amounts under the available IDR plans.
NASFAA extends a warm thank you to our sponsors for generously supporting our virtual summit: Portico and Sallie. Registered attendees are encouraged to sign up to hear more from these sponsors by entering our Virtual Summit Prize Drawing. You could win a registration for a NASFAA conference or a NASFAA U Online Course!
NASFAA's Board of Directors is here to represent you and is seeking your input. Please email any questions or comments you might have directly to a member of the NASFAA Board by clicking on their name on our Board Member Bios page. Questions or feedback may pertain to NASFAA products and services, membership benefits, policy/advocacy issues, or any other topic you would like to bring before the Board. The Board will compile and discuss these questions at the June 28 Board meeting at the NASFAA 2026 National Conference in National Harbor. We welcome your insight.
