Federal Student Aid (FSA) on Tuesday provided details on plans to begin beta testing the 2027-28 FAFSA in August, in preparation for its October 1 launch deadline.

Rep. Bobby Scott (D-Va.), ranking member of the House Education and Workforce Committee, hosted a panel of student loan experts to discuss the impact of the Trump administration’s efforts to change the student loan system, with a focus on the enactment of the One Big Beautiful Bill Act (OBBBA).
