NEWS FROM NASFAA

The House and the Senate have agreed they will need a continuing resolution (CR), a temporary funding measure that typically funds the government at current spending levels, to avert the September 30 spending deadline for fiscal year (FY) 2027, but they’ll need to reconcile the chambers’ proposals once they return from recess to ensure they are the same.

NASFAA UPDATES AND ANNOUNCEMENTS

Over the past months, Higher Education Financial Wellness Alliance (HEFWA) and its partners have been working to advance a shared national approach to student financial wellness through competency development. The framework was introduced at the 2026 HEFWA Summit. This webinar, on Thursday August 27 at 2 p.m. ET, will provide an overview of why this work matters now, how it responds to the need for clearer definitions of success in financial wellness education, and how a common framework can help institutions align programs, strategies, measurement, and student outcomes.
