The annual active confirmation process, requiring financial aid administrators to verify their user access to Federal Student Aid (FSA) systems and Student Aid Internet Gateway (SAIG) mailboxes, began on October 2, 2026. In order to retain access to these systems, every organization must confirm each user’s access to SAIG mailboxes and online services by December 31, 2026.

The NASFAA website will be unavailable today Thursday, October 8, starting at 3:00 p.m. ET for scheduled maintenance. The outage is expected to last a few hours, and the site will be fully restored when complete. This maintenance window will also impact other NASFAA entities, including AskRegs, the Compliance Engine, Online Courses, and the Testing Center. Thank you for your patience while NASFAA works to maintain our online resources.

The NASFAA office will be closed on Monday, October 12 for the federal holiday. Today's News will not be sent, and AskRegs and technical and membership support will not be available until the office reopens on Tuesday, October 13.
