NASFAA seeks to support states and regions because of their importance and value in providing professional development and services to financial aid administrators and advocating for public policies that increase student access to and success in postsecondary education for our nation's students. 

By assembling this State and Regional Playbook, NASFAA plans to:

• Support on-site conference and event visits in an ongoing predictable way;
• Continue and increase the amount of on-site training materials available to states and regions; and 
• Continue to support states and regions virtually. 

Training Materials for States and Regions

• NASFAA Credential Training Materials for bootcamps and live-site meetings.
• NASFAA Authorized Certification Exam Preparation Workshop for use at live-site events to help prepare individuals for the FAAC^® exam.  

On-Site Visits

• Regions: NASFAA's national chair and a member of the NASFAA staff will continue to visit each region annually.
• Each State, Every Five Years: On a five-year rotating basis, NASFAA representatives will visit all state associations. For state associations, this provides predictability and allows states to plan ahead or combine with other states or regions. Please view the appendix below for details.
• NASFAA Board Representation: NASFAA board members can provide NASFAA updates to bolster state programs in any state conference they are already attending. 

Virtual Support

• As requested each year, NASFAA can provide live, virtual sessions to states as our calendars allow. These virtual sessions can be at live in-person events, state, or regional webinars. To request a virtual speaker, please visit nasfaa.org/Speaker_Request_Form.

Other Ways NASFAA Continues to Support States and Regions

• Providing the Association Leadership Pathway for regional and state association leaders at the annual NASFAA Leadership & Legislative Conference & Expo.
• Broadcasting regional and state association updates to the NASFAA membership via the State & Regional Updates webpage, Today's News, and advertising regional and state events on NASFAA's Events Calendar.
• Hosting a Leadership Listserv for association leaders, including presidents, vice-presidents, presidents-elect, etc.
