This week on "Off The Cuff," Justin is joined by NASFAA Policy Analyst Megan Walter and Scott Cline, senior vice president of enrollment management and auxiliary services at California College of the Arts. The group discusses the mission and goals of the Paying for College Transparency Initiative and its efforts to improve college financial aid offers. Megan then shares initial responses to the initiative’s drafted principles and standards, glossary, and aid offer examples. NASFAA members can submit their own comments to these documents by June 1, 2023.

NASFAA UPDATES AND ANNOUNCEMENTS

This AskRegs Knowledgebase Q&A has been updated to announce the availability of the 2021-22 award year data. To find out if the latest award year data are available for the Net Price Calculator, visit the U.S. Department of Education Net Price Calculator Template and click "Continue." The available award year data are listed under Step 1. The latest version of the Net Price Calculator template uses 2021-22 data. According to the Net Price Calculator Information Center and GEN-13-07, ED normally plans to release updated versions of the Net Price Calculator in January annually. To avoid a scheduling conflict with two recently announced Federal Student Aid FAFSA simplification webinars, NASFAA has rescheduled two virtual conference sessions. The sessions “No Money, No Problem: A Community College Approach to Enrollment Management” andHow to Attract, Retain and Engage a Multi-Generational Workforce” will now take place on Friday, July 14, 2023.
