House Republicans on Wednesday released their education funding proposal for fiscal year 2025, cutting funding for the Federal Work-Study (FWS) and Federal Supplemental Educational Opportunity Grant (FSEOG) programs in half, and slashing funding for Federal Student Aid (FSA) administration by 26%.

NASFAA UPDATES AND ANNOUNCEMENTS

At this year's NASFAA Virtual Conference, attendees will have the opportunity to train for NASFAA's Need Analysis Professional Credential. In this credential training, the NASFAA U team will discuss need analysis with the implementation of the Student Aid Index (SAI) and the calculation of an applicant's SAI. This session will also include a lesson on institutional methodology. Completion of this live, online training qualifies participants to take the corresponding NASFAA Professional Credential test at no additional cost.
