This session will touch on the main principles of successful advocacy strategies with a focus on the importance of state advocacy. An overview will be given on the importance of developing core advocacy principles and how to incorporate them when evaluating policy issues. In addition to highlighting NASFAA's State Advocacy Toolkit and other useful tools and resources, the session will cover tips and strategies on how to successfully advocate and communicate with lawmakers at the state level.
