NASFAA President and CEO Melanie Storey joined the American Council on Education (ACE) for a conversation about how financial aid offices are implementing several provisions of the One Big Beautiful Bill Act (OBBBA), and what the profession is looking ahead to.
The Department of Education (ED), along with inspectors general, institutional leaders, federal and state law enforcement, and industry partners, met in Washington, D.C., on Tuesday for a day devoted to discussing and sharing ideas to combat fraud in the federal student aid programs.
The parties in the nurse practitioner (NP) and physician associate (PA) groups' lawsuit against the Department of Education (ED) have jointly asked the court for a one-week extension to propose a hearing schedule, as they continue to sort out how ED's revised professional degree Classification of Instructional Programs (CIP) code guidance applies to advanced nursing degrees.
