NASFAA has created three new flowcharts that demonstrate the flow of the Loan Limit Exception (LLE) flag through various FSA systems. It is NASFAA’s hope that these visual explainers will assist members in determining next steps when they encounter issues with the LLE flag that prevent them from awarding, originating, and/or disbursing correct loan amounts to borrowers based on the pre- or post-OBBBA limits they qualify for.
The Department of Education (ED) has started its second phase of beta testing for the 2027-28 FAFSA, where any student or parent is able to request early access to complete the form.
Over the past months, Higher Education Financial Wellness Alliance (HEFWA) and its partners have been working to advance a shared national approach to student financial wellness through competency development. The framework was introduced at the 2026 HEFWA Summit. This webinar, on Thursday August 27 at 2 p.m. ET, will provide an overview of why this work matters now, how it responds to the need for clearer definitions of success in financial wellness education, and how a common framework can help institutions align programs, strategies, measurement, and student outcomes.
Whether you're brand new to NASFAA or want a refresher on all the tools and resources available to you, this complimentary webinar, now available on demand is your one-stop orientation. NASFAA 101 will guide you through the benefits of institutional membership and show you how to access essential training, compliance tools, and support resources.
