ED Extends COVID-19 Related Regulatory Flexibilities

The Department of Education (ED) published in the Federal Register today several new flexibilities, as well as new end dates for existing flexibilities related to the COVID-19 pandemic.

ED last extended most flexibilities through the end of the payment period that includes Dec. 31, 2020 or the end of the payment period that includes the end date of the COVID-19 national emergency, whichever occurs later.

Many end dates for flexibilities are now extended through the end of the payment period that begins after the date on which COVID-19 national emergency is rescinded. Check Monday’s Today’s News for a more detailed analysis.
