The Department of Education (ED) on Tuesday posted notices in the Federal Register informing institutions that it is inviting eligible schools to apply for new Higher Education Emergency Relief Fund (HEERF) grants made available under the Minority Serving Institutions (MSIs) program and Strengthening Institutions Program (SIP).
The two programs are intended for schools that didn't receive this funding under the Coronavirus Aid, Relief and Economic Security (CARES) Act and for whom there is an allocation listed.
Allocation tables for the two programs can be found on the department’s website. Applications will be accepted on a rolling basis, with a deadline of July 12, 2021 for both grants, according to the notices.
