Institutional Registration Now Open for December FSA Conference

Federal Student Aid (FSA) announced on Thursday a two-phase registration process for its 2026 training conference in National Harbor, Maryland. The first phase of registration starts October 22 for “eligible partner institutions.” According to the FSA, each unique partner institution (identified by its six-digit OPEID) may register up to 3 representatives. This phase will remain open through November 2, or until FSA reaches its initial registration capacity, the size of which has not been disclosed.

Phase two of registration will open to “the greater FSA partner community” on November 2, or earlier if the initial registration capacity is reached before that date. This phase of registration will close on December 9, or when the venue capacity is reached. There will be no virtual or live stream option; however, the sessions will be recorded and uploaded to the FSA Training Conference website after the event.

While the detailed agenda has not been posted yet, FSA has said the conference will offer both general and breakout sessions, highlighting the One Big Beautiful Bill Act (OBBBA), as well as sessions on improving the FAFSA, best practices for fraud prevention, operational updates on Financial Value Transparency reporting, audit and compliance findings, the Clery Act, and much more.
