An aid administrator at a school, which had previously had its institutional match for FSEOG waived due to its status as a Title II institution, is confused about what waivers are in place for the 2021-22 award year due to the COVID-19 national emergency still being in effect. Is the institutional match for FSEOG waived for the 2021-22 award year?
It depends on the designation of institution. Schools designated as Title III or Title V institutions automatically receive the waiver from for the 2021-22 award year. Schools which had not applied for this designation were required to do so by April 5, 2021. See CB-21-04 for more information. Guidance on the institutional share has not been issued for all other schools for the 2021-22 award year.
