Subject: 2015 Federal Student Aid Training Conference for Financial Aid Professionals

The FSA Training Conference for Financial Aid Professionals will be here before you know it. The training conference will take place at the Mandalay Bay in Las Vegas, NV from Tuesday, December 1st through Friday, December 4th.

Registration
If you plan to attend this conference and have not yet registered, please register here. If you are registered, but no longer plan to attend, you can cancel your registration by clicking on the cancellation link in your confirmation e-mail, or by contacting [email protected].

Lodging
Although the conference hotel has sold out, there is still limited availability at the Delano. Lodging must be booked by Wednesday, November 4th.   If you are no longer planning to attend the conference and have secured lodging at the Mandalay Bay, please CANCEL your reservation at your earliest convenience.  There are still attendees looking for rooms at the conference hotel.  You can cancel your reservation by contacting the Mandalay Bay directly at 1-877-632-9001.

Ask-a-Fed Appointments
Do you have questions that may require more time than a quick visit to the Ask-a-Fed area? If so, you can schedule a 30-minute one-on-one appointment (on the hour or half hour) with an Ask-a-Fed representative. Available appointment times: Monday, 3 p.m. – 7 p.m., Tuesday & Wednesday, 10 a.m. - 3:30 p.m., and Thursday, 8:30 a.m. - 3:30 p.m. The Resource Center is closed Friday.

To request an appointment, please send an e-mail with three date and time preferences to Jo Ann Borel ([email protected]) no later than 3:00 p.m. Eastern Time on Tuesday, November 24. We will schedule your appointment and send you an e-mail confirmation. Appointments are available on a first-come, first-serve basis. 

If you are unable to set up an appointment prior to the conference, appointments can still be made in person at the Ask-a-Fed booth during the conference (based on time slot availability).

Opportunity for attendees in Session 20: State Authorization
This session will cover the state authorization requirements needed to be eligible for Title IV funding. Both policy and operational considerations will be addressed. Additionally, you will have the opportunity to provide input about state authorization of distance education providers.
